Creating a design system to fit in and stand out

One of the challenges when co-branding spaces is how to create a design system that stands out — but that also doesn’t compete with the venue’s own identity.

When Coca-Cola asked us to help them develop a design system for their HoReCa (Hotel, Restaurant and Catering/Cafe) environments, we created a concept that could work across a diverse range of establishments, from mainstream to premium, and at all times of the day or night.

The design itself focussed on the iconic elements of the brand, brought to life through a series of graphic lines representing people coming together, bottles clinking, and the sharing of everyday and special moments.

The concept was executed across a range of materials from print-based items to investment pieces such as bespoke lighting and brand installations for premium environments.
