Inspiration can come from anywhere, but for Coca Cola’s 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil identity we decided it needed to come from the place itself. Spending time in Brazil gave us a tremendous insight into the way of life, culture and spirit of the country and its people. To capture this approach to life accurately and authentically, we partnered with Brazilian artist, Speto, to bring Coca-Cola’s campaign idea, The World’s Cup, to life. The bright, vibrant visual identity was then applied across everything from limited edition alu bottles to the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour aeroplane, as well as a gigantic flag placed across the pitch before the inaugural game of the tournament in Sao Paulo.
